279rkswe leveling questions

we have a 2013 Cougar model 279rkswe. Does not have auto level. what is the easiest way to level from side to side with this unit? Roll over some 2x6's on side or the other depending on slope? or use the front jacks in different holes when extending them down to get the trailer to go a little left or right before un hooking from the truck? looking for some ideas....

The easiest (and safest) way is to roll the low side up on some 2x6/2x8 blocks and level it side to side. Then lower the front landing gear until the extension legs are 2-3 inches from the pads (on each side). The extension legs may not (probably won't be) in the same holes on each side. The objective is to keep the trailer frame from twisting. If you lower the landing gear in an attempt to "twist the frame to be level, you risk permanent damage to the frame.

Always level the trailer using blocks/pads to get "as close as you can" to level, then stabilize the trailer after unhitching.

Boards or Lynx blocks. The corner stabilizers are not meant to lift the trailer. Another alternative is Anderson Levelers coupled with a LevelMate Pro II.

Late to reply, I have used lynx blocks for years. Easy stack and store in a bag. I happen to have 3 bags of 10 blocks.
