Yes it can be a sail just sitting there!
If you don't think wind can effect you when towing, take a look at this picture. After the recent Nor'Easter my trailer was knocked off it's jacks by about a foot! Thankfully there was no damage.

That's impressive. I wonder what it looked like as it was happening. Did it look like it slid the whole trailer over or maybe a little lift and drop?
I'm in Connecticut and it was pretty bad here but don't think our trailer moved any.

WOW, thank goodness there wasn't any damage! I don't see any wheel chocks, were the wheels chocked too or just the stabilizers down?

I live in the NW corner of CT, our rig was rocking at times but never moved like that. Though I think we got spared where I am.

Big sail for lite TT 7,400# at 35’ is likely not too hard to move.
Yes would have been a ride for sure! We currently set in a Host site about 50’ from the Pacific, had some 30 mph West winds the other day, felt a little vibration.

Yes, wheels chocked on the other side!

We’re in SE CT so we had some pretty good winds. I was watching ours it was rocking pretty good but never moved!
