Picking up our new Passport 2510RB Grand Touring

Hello All,

We are picking up our new Passport 2510RB today. Decided that the we had enough of the hybrid life and we traded in our 217EXP. I noticed that this unit has a spread axle setup vs. a regular dual axle, any difference in towing or backing up?

The spread axle seems to help with sway. When turning it causes the tires to scrub more because they are farther apart. My passport had them and it was never an issue. Pulled great but noticed the scuff marks on the gravel when we were in a campground making the tighter turns into a site. I always figured with proper inflation it should be sufficient to keep the tires on the bead.

Welcome from a former 2510RB owner. Enjoy that model; it was my first travel trailer I owned in adulthood. Hope you enjoy yours for years.

I think you'll find that backing up is less challenging with the longer chassis and spacing on the wheels as your trailer will track better. Inputs on the steering wheel are less dramatic on these longer trailers. The results are good anticipation of your intended target.

Let's just say I can back up my 35' Bullet easier than my little 12' double axle enclosed cargo trailer.
