Converter/charger

Have 2016 sprinter 298 5th wheel 3 slides with Samsung res. Frig. When purchased 2 12volt batteries were junk. After less than year new batteries won't run frig over 3 hours. Been told own converter charger probably killing batteries. Plan to replace batteries with 4 6 volt and new smart charger.

What size batteries? Residential fridge requires an INverter to operate. The CONverter charges the batteries when plugged into shore power. The converter and inverter are different and usually separate in Trailers with the residential fridge. MAGNUM makes an all in one unit, I see them every day in Tiffen motor homes.

Changing the two 12V batteries to four 6V batteries will make a big difference, you may not need a new converter. I would test it’s output first.

Great explanation. I want a Magnum Hybrid super bad. Ditch my inverter and Converter. But $1900 is a big factor. But what a great piece of tech
