Drilling holes in my ramp door

Going to drill holes in my ramp door on my carbon 32 to install cables to make a deck. Door is not reinforced does anyone think it will hold or will it rip right through. Going to put a 6 inch backing plate in with the bolts to try to take more of the load. Has anyone tried something similar
