Having to reset thermostat on AC

i have a Passport Elite 19RB with a Dometic AC unit i will run my AC at around 74 to 78 all day long. Then at night I will go to bed only to wake up in the early hours of the morn and my AC is reading 90 degrees and I have to turn it back down to 74. With no issue for another 24 hours or so the thermo is the attachment Click image for larger version

That has to be one of the finickiest thermostats made. It sounds harsh but I HATE them. If you take the front off, you’ll see foam where you would touch to operate it. We have cut the foam in half, pulled it out and put it back in, and it’s a crap shoot at best. I would look into switching it out for the “regular” three button.
