Solar panel hookup

My 303rls doesn't have a solar panel hookup on it like my old trailer did. How do you wire a solar panel into the batteries to get the benefit of the panels? I have the 2 batteries but no plug inl externally so not sure what wiring one needs to use the panels. Anyone have any suggestions?

Solar panel hook up

Really easy to hook up a connector, not sure you'd need to use the Furrion port, but could if you wanted too. They sell those on Amazon if your interested in doing that same connection port.

Should note, even RV's with the Furrion solar panel port do not have a 'charge controller', which are part of the Furrion solar charging system (Furrion FSPP95SA-BL). Hooking up a plain solar panel would need a charge controller.

While I don't know the quality of the Furrion system, it is rather pricey!

Here's the one I used: http://www.rvautoparts.com/ZS-RV-ROO...kaAsH4EALw_wcB
Use an inline fuse (30 amp) between the connector and the positive battery distribution connector (circuit breaker) field side. The negative goes to the chassis ground same as the negative from the batteries. That's it.
The portable solar panels should come equipped with a controller that will regulate the amount of power feeding the batteries based on the amount of discharge.
Look at ZAMP or Renogy portable Solar panels. We bought the Zamp and found them to work perfectly!
