RV Pet Temp Monitor
Any suggestions? Looking into purchasing one just to ease the DW mine while out and about.
Thanks in advance..

There is just nothing on the forum that I could find. If you find anything, please post it. It will help someone in the future.

I have one that's bluetooth, but the sensor only transmits into the house, about 30'. I kept it in the trailer in winter, now it's in my greenhouse. I have not see one with wifi, but Amazon seems to have that kind of thing. The problem would be having wifi active in your trailer if it's not available where you are parked. Personal wifi hotspots suck up a lot of data, if you don't have an unlimited plan.

We bought a gadget called "Temp Minder" from CW. It will no Igor up to 3 remote sensors but is limited to 165 ft. We use it to monitor fridge temps while traveling. You might try their website to see if they have a unit that is blue tooth capable.

Once again, GOOGLE is your friend.....
Try a Google search for: "cell phone based remote temperature monitor"
There are several systems available. Some are as simple as a device that calls your cell phone if the set temperature is warmer/cooler than the setting, others that are internet based and some even have a commercial monitoring service, similar to security systems monitoring.
So, depending on how sophisticated you want to go, there are a number of choices available. Maybe you'll find the one that fits your needs ????

My wife and I had discussed how to monitor this as well. We had decided to get a remote camera and train it on the thermometer that we have mounted on the wall in the living area. We have unlimited data anyway as we have Direct Now streaming tv.

Another idea here (although it may be a bit cost-prohibitive) would be to install a web cam of some sort and place it so you can see a thermometer in your unit.
Strategically placed, it could also monitor Fido.
edit...this was already mentioned, my bad, I didn't read the whole thread.

I'm thinking……
How long do you leave puppy in the RV that you have to worry about the temps frying them? We generally take puppy but we do leave her all the time for trips of a couple of hours or so. The trailer, if everything failed, with the timeline isn't going to kill her. We've never had an issue but I'm thinking if you have to have monitors/cameras/etc. maybe they're being left far too long??

Some of us still work an 8 hour day. Although my schedule is extremely flexible and I could do pretty much everything from my phones, I occasionally have to travel out of town and on a 98 degree day I wouldn't want to be locked in my RV for 2 hours without A/C. I don't know that it would fry them, but I'm sure it would be PLENTY uncomfortable.

Bluetooth is for short range only monitoring you want remote wifi temp monitor with alerts I’m on the road now but know I saw something suitable when I was searching our plan was to use one by leaving one cell phone behind in TT with the hotspot on for connectivity

That's the Blustream. It Bluetooth connects to the cell phone you leave behind which in turn must be connected to the internet (wifi). I have that setup and so far so good.

Why not just set your thermostat to 85 or whatever you deem is too warm, so the air goes on?

Iphones
Similar to idea with net cams.
If you have two iPhones running ios11 you can leave one in trailer with auto answer on. Leave one phone where it can see a thermometer.
When you go out face time the phone and it will show the thermometer.
Also if you add the second phone contact in favourites you can then put your do not disturb on. When you call first time nothing will happen but the second call will pick up. This will save your phOne from answering every call that it gets.

Temp montoring
We use a system called marCell. You can set the temperature range, humidity range and it updates every 8 hours. If you have a power outage or hit the max or min of temps and humidity it will text you immediately. You can also buy instant reads for $.50 each and call the system on your phone and get an instant feed back.

Or just train a security camera on your indoor thermometer so you can check it during the day.

Temp in RV
When we travel we used a gadget that is no longer available. It still works but, we had concerns and bought an Arlo security camera that works with a SIM card. If you get at Verizon, and you have a Verizon account, it is, so we were told, $5 more a month. We are not Verizon so we pay more a month and can suspend service if we aren’t traveling. It does cost the one time for the camera but, it is great and it gives you the ability to hear and talk and will notify you of issues as well. Great to focus in on a thermometer or scan the RV how you choose. Even if a smoke alarm goes off, you would want to hear that. Sadly, an RV will get hotter than you think. Small dogs, elderly dogs, and dogs with short snouts have heat issues which can be dangerous. Even if you have the AC on, power can be affected, shutting off cold air and leaving the RV to get hot too.
We have traveled with some sort of monitor because of these concerns.
Good luck in your search.
