It's high time...

I just ordered a set of Carlisles for my rig.
The tires that were on it were the original ones from the 36th week of 2012.
If anyone has any doubt that tires will only last 5 yrs, this was proof enough for me.
The tread was in fine shape and hardly worn, but on close inspection, the tires themselves were cracking quite noticeably, or I guess "weather checked" as they say.
Glad I got to them before they got to me

I'm right there with you...we bought our 2015 27RKS off the dealer lot "new", in May of 2017. The China Bombs were new, like the trailer, but already almost 3 years old at that point. I probably towed the trailer around 2000 miles last year, but decided that I was not going to risk another year of tempting fate even though my tires still look great. I ordered my Carlisle replacements this week as well. As soon as they come in, I'll pull all 4, get the new tires mounted and balanced, and do a bearing re-pack and brake adjustment at the same time.

Thanks cynjon, and yes I meant to mention I inspected the brakes and they are still "fair". Bearings also seemed fine, and I will repack them as well.
It's nice to know and have the peace of mind.

From the looks of those tires I would have replaced them a few years ago. But... you were lucky.... cheers

Ya I consider myself lucky for sure.
I Bought the unit used last year and likely should have changed them right away.
