Smile New to this site

Hi all, from ky. We tow a 2017 keystone bullet 2070bh. We tow with a 2017 Ford Explorer XLT V6 fwd with factory tow package. Can tow up to 5500lbs but we don’t want to tax the truck and the camper only weighs in around 4000lbs full. Pulls great and we use a HFT weight distribution hitch and we are very happy. We travel to the panhandle several times a year and down around Fort Myers area and several places in between.
The reason for the bunkhouse is below!

Try the Farmer's Market Restaurant on Edison in Fort Myers. Don't bother to dress up and bring your appetite.
And welcome to the forum!

We travel FL all but summer months with many other states too. We travel the panhandle from Jax to Orange Beach AL and back to the E coast ~~ St Augustine. South usually as far as Sarasota but have been to Ft Myers and even the Keys. You have a lot of choices!
Welcome from the coast of NC!

Welcome from Alaska. We are in and around the Bardstown area third week in October every year. Not with our RV but for our teenagers TKD tournament in Louisville. Looks like a nice set up. We love our Explorer, its a 2014 and has given us over 60K trouble free miles. We don't really tow with it though.

Camper is rated UVW at 3750
With what we put in it it is around 4000 lbs or so.

Cool! It’s nice to have people for out of town enjoy our little town here.
We were just voted the best small town in America by “Rand Macnally” a few years ago.

add about 100 pounds to that 3750 for the propane and battery, then add for the hitch.. Just want you to be aware of your ACTUAL weight.

Thanks for that,, forgot about propane tanks. We are still way under the 5500 lbs rating on our truck so I think we’re ok.
Should we decide on more weight with extra baggage we will keep that in mind.
Thanks

You know, having watched you work thru your "issues" with an overloaded Tacoma, then getting the Silverado 1/2 ton and not wanting a wdh to tow a 5400 (memory) lb. trailer (all from a lack of knowledge/experience)....and lots of folks trying to help, inform and guide you - all with good intentions....and they are "weight ****"?? That sure seems like a very derogatory term to use for helpful folks. Also sounds like you have a lot of resentment in your short time here. As you alluded to, maybe the "****" (in your opinion) are only "here" as you stated and you would be more comfortable "somewhere else"?

Trying to malign members for trying to help another member who might not have a clue about a possible problem is not beneficial IMO, nor is it warranted. Nor do your previous posts show that you would have any expertise to guide the OP. Just some thoughts as I read your harsh post and something you might want to "mull" over.

Ok I'll bite. What would you suggest to the OP? And would you be willing to be on the hook for it liability wise?
