New generator for 2011

Well, finally made the decision on the generator for the new 325SRX.... Went with the Boliy Pro3600SiE+ with electric start and battery. Will try everything when it warms up around here without any mods... if it has any problems starting, will outfit one of those hard start capacitors in the 15k aircon unit. They are so cheap (under $20.00) I may just purchase one and keep it in the unit just in case. Have read that everything can go fine in reasonable weather, however the start-up problem on the aircon can occur when it's above 100deg temp... not something I want to deal with while sitting out in Farmer Bob's next August for the week of Bristol!

Anxious to hear how that generator does!

Boliy

Will post results once it's warm enough to test on the unit. I have started it a couple of times, let it run to charge the internal battery, impressed so far with the noise level and auto-idle performance. Starts easy enough that's for sure.

It's an interesting little unit. I had never heard of them until you started talking about them. There is a ton of RV threads out there that talks about them. Some good some bad like anything... I think yours might be 7th generation now. Definitely looking forward to hearing what you think about it. I have my trusty little Honda 2000 but with the 15k ac on the new unit I am out of luck for that working.. It's just along for the ride as emergency power..

Started using

So far so good, started using it in the back of the truck on last weekends trip. It just purred all night on auto low idle, kicked in with the coffee in the morning. It's actually supposed to get pretty nice here in the next week, maybe will be able to test it with the aircon.

I love the electric start, just reached into the bed of the truck and pushed the button this past weekend without climbing in there.

LMAO....last time I looked at the calendar it was 2011
Yea, website is a bit lower-end... However I called this outfit prior to purchase, was actually impressed by the down to earth discussion. Admin person kind of yelled something like... "charlie got a phone call for ya..." It's obviously a small mail-order warehouse kind of outfit, the guy was straight forward and honest with me all the way. He actually opens every one of the units, puts oil in it and makes sure it runs and puts out power. Drains the oil and ships. Some may be turned off by the "mom n' pop" type of business... I'm not. I owned a small business for a number of years and was service, quality and pride oriented, it sounded like this guy was as well. Just my opinion for what it's worth. I'm happy with the genset, hope I'm singing the same tune 3 years from now. I've had harbor freight cheap gensets, took care of them and never had issues, changing oil regularly goes a long way, will just take good care of this one and hope it lasts.
