With a 2x4 and a 5 pound maul.....
This is what happens when you get to close to a piece of granite....

You may need a bigger hammer!! It could have been a lot worse.

You would thing right? Ends up, that bottom piece isn't as thick/strong as you'd think. I have another 2 beers to go and I think it'll be good enough for gov't work.

Ahhh , the old empty bottle count rating system ... I know it well. Just glad it didn't mess up the door frame and was only cosmetic. Keep up the good work, Hank

If you have a few more beers you could back in to the granite and I'm pretty sure you could straighten that right out, or at least make it look farm ready

Have a light on order. Just have to throw a little paint on the rivet heads and it should be good to go.
Total cost for the repair so far. One 6-pack of Rainier (yes, i'm a cheap SOB) 6 bucks for some sealant.
Got a foot of corner trim and a scrap of dimple sheet from the local RV shops trash cans.

S^%t happens, but luckily you were able to repair it and make it look good again. The nice thing about the lower tine being so thin and light, is it bangs back into shape easily. If you didn't say anything about the patch I wouldn't have even noticed it.
Last weekend I was walking our dog in a campground, and a camper stopped in front of me to throw their trash out into the dumpster. When they got back into the vehicle they turned the corner tight and caught the corner of the dumpster. I yelled and waved my arms at them to try and get their attention as I saw it about to happen, but they were oblivious to me, and didn't even realize what they did it as they drove away. They will wonder what happened when they get home. It did similar damage to what yours looked like.

Had to do a similar repair on my old Tahoe Transport and it was pretty easy. About a 3 beer job

Nice job!!!!!
That came out better then my dealer repair. They replaced the lower panels. Forgot to put the skirt supports in, then ordered the wrong ones. Rtv'd the lower panels at the seams which came apart as soon I hit the highway. The corner trim only had 3 screws holding it top to bottom. Last the panel does not exactly match what came from the factory. What a comedian show.
What did I do.......deer run into the side of the truck and then went tumbling back into the driver's side lower skirt. Trailer repair about $1500, truck over 3k.
