generator blows fuse at start up

When I start my generator in my keystone toyhauler, the fuse blows out on the generator. You can hear it priming but when you press start it pops the fuse. It doesn't blow any of the fuses inside the trailer, its the fuse on the generator by the starter button. Its a generac generator. Any advice is appreciated.

Check electrical cable connections at gen and battery. Could be high resistance in starter circuit. From description, the fuse fails when switch is pressed to crank engine. Also could be starter. Again check all cable connections. Not just for tightness, but clean connections. Remove cables and check and clean as needed. good luck.

Could be the switch or starter shorting out.

Do you have a power button to turn on/off the power going to the trailer from the genny or unplug it. So, you can start it and after it warms up switch the button or than plug in to use power. Could it be tripping because your asking it to send power before it is available. I always did that with the AF buildt it genny. If I left the switch on it ran crappy as it started and would sometimes stall.
