What is the limit that you can extend the landing gear on a 2012 fusion 412

I think the "limit" on your unit as well as others, is reached when you either blow the front landing gear fuse, hear a grinding sound or both.

Several members, including myself, have painted lines on the landing gear -- one line or strip (orange/yellow) when you are getting close to the limit and another strip (red) to indicate "STOP" -- don't lower it any more!

Thanks for the quick response and answer make sense. It's to bad the manufacturer isn't able to more into detail in the owners manual

Just another note ------ You should find out where that landing gear fuse is located. On ours, it is "hidden" away in the wiring coil -- about 18" away from the battery terminal. Spare fuses of this and other sizes should be part of your tool box.

I wouldn't rely too much on the generic Owner's Manual for too much guidance or information. The manual that you have is identical to the one that everyone else has for that year - regardless of make or model.
