Premeir 22RBPR Axle question

Just picked up our new TT last month and when I back trailer into driveway the front tires seam to lean to the right. Is this normal they seam to straighten out with in 1/2" to parallel to each other. Talked to the service rep at the dealer and he says this is normal to lean when backing into a space. Am I worrying over nothing?

It's normal. As you put sideways pressure on the axles, they "flex" to accommodate the forces. Just remember to pull forward and then back straight into the spot once you're in position. That way you relieve all the lateral pressure from your wheel and axles and the bearings can "rest" while you camp.

I had the same concerns when we got our 32BHPR. I was told by the dealer that this was normal as well. I was not sure I was convinced at first, but have not had any problems over the past 1 1/2 yrs we have owned it. I think the reason for the large lean is the wide stance axels. When you turn the trailer in tight corners, the tork due to the large space between axles causes the lean. Since I have not had any problems despite it not looking right, I no longer worry about it. Good luck, & congrats on the new trailer!

When we pull out of our driveway I need to go around in a circle in the cul d sac and I see those tires in all kinds of angles. Never an issue though.

I have back into my driveway at a sharp angle, and DW actually thinks the RV is going to turn over on its side because of the tires dragging!

Plus 1 for "JTHJW", once you're "in"' pull ahead, the straight back to unload the side torque.

As long as the tires & axles return to normal after driving straight I wouldn't worry. If they don't, be sure to get it checked out ASAP. Our rear beam was bent, and led to us replacing our axles, springs and tires over the winter ($2300). We could have warrantied the axles/springs but would have replaced with the same overloaded Al-Ko crap it came with. How do they sell a trailer that close to it's GVWR when empty is beyond me. The only saving grace for that poor thing for 2 seasons was the tongue weight!
