Golf cart in back of pickup
I own a 2018 cougar 29 bhs. Want to load a golf cart in the back of my Chevy Silverado with a 6’ box. With the seat on the back I’m afraid it’s gonna hit the tongue jack/propane tanks. Anyone have ideas how to do this? Thanks for the tips

Will not fit! Can you now drive with the tail gate down? My tailgate will only go down if the truck is straight with the trailer.

I know the tailgate would have to be removed. Just wondering how people do it with the 6’4 bed. Mine is an ‘18 double cab

My G16 Yamaha's rear wheels have to sit on the tailgate of my 6'4" RAM short bed. Chris

I'm in a similar situation. My 48v Club Car length is 92" (I have the 6.5 foot bed), and I know for a fact that I can't have the tail gate fully down with the camper hooked up. I'm more concerned about exceeding the payload capacity of 2786 pounds on my 2018 Silverado 2500HD. The unloaded hitch weight on my 2018 32RLI Cougar is 1165, so I suspect that the actual hitch weight is several hundred pounds more. I'm also guessing that my golf cart is about 1000 pounds (with six 8-volt batteries); therefore, my concern.
I see that the "dry" hitch weight on your 29BHS is 810 - just something to consider, regardless of the length.

500-600 pounds dry weight for most golf carts.
Club Car Precedent Electric: 495 Pounds.
Club Car Precedent Gas: 606 Pounds.

This time of year around here is big game hunting seasons. Every year it is more and more common to see a 26 to 30 range TT pulled by 150s and 250s with a ATV in it's bed and the rear bumper nearly dragging on the ground. Spotted my 1st yesterday, would have got a overload ticket and game inspection if I was working.

Might give these guys a call, they specialize in ATV's but isn't that what a side by side ATV is, a 4WD golf cart.

As mentioned in a previous post above......Payload Capacity! How much of the truck payload is already being used up with the trailer tongue weight and any and all gear/equipment in the truck.....then add in another approx. 1000 lb for the golf cart. Total everything up and compare to the yellow/white payload sticker on the truck!

I take my GC with me when I will be somewhere for 4 or more days. My TV is a 2016 Silverado SB. I remove the tailgate from the TV and batteries from the GC after loading into the TV. Batteries have quick disconnects and are stored in the camper behind the axles in a wooden box lined with Flex-Seal. I have a set of 2X12 ramps that extend the bed length by 13” which is 2” past center of the GC rear wheels, and gives more than enough clearance for the electric tongue jack and front cap of the camper while turning. I also remove the back foot rest from the GC to get extra clearance.
Before the naysayers pipe up, yes, I have scaled this setup. At first I had to make a few adjustments, but the TV is not overloaded, does not squat more than 1.5” when all hooked up and loaded, and my tongue weight is roughly 13%. I carry what I need but not everything I want.
Funny thing is the camper tows better with the GC in back of the TV. Have not monitored the MPG that closely, but it seems to be getting slightly better with this setup also, but that may be just my perception spurred on by wishful thinking.
