Fan-Tastic Vent

Montana 3720RL has automatic rain sensing vents. I was watching from the house as a rain storm approached. Much to my surprise the vent opened as the rain started. I thought "@&$)", that will be a mess. The rain quit quickly and I watched the vent close. Went out to check and thankfully the rain blew over the open cover. No mess. A service call in two weeks to fix some crossed wires.

Must be brand new. There's a lot of strange things that crop up even with new/used units when something is tried out for the first time. I've taken a tour of the Montana plant, but no one was working at the time. Still makes me wonder what kind of people they (like all other mfrs.) hire.

That's a new one. When the vent is installed the only wiring is 12V to the factory wires. White (-) and black (+). The sensor circuit is built in.

I'll be curious to read what the problem was and the fix.

How did the sensor get wet to open the lid with it closed? That is weird.... I installed Maxx-air vents on my camper with the rain sensors and tested them with a spray bottle.
