I suggest look for a tooth past cap deep inside the sink strainer.

The plumbing for your drain is, most likely, ABS. However, the sink is probably made of plastic, there could be a rubber diaphragm instead of the traditional p-trap in the drain and there are rubber seals in the discharge valve on your waste tank. I would not use any chemical cleaners or mechanical snakes in the drain. If the drain is clogging up, take the trap apart and clean it out. You might be able to clear the drain by using the pressure from a hose, but you might end up with a lot of water where you don't want it.

You can try something like this. But it's also easy enough to just pull the trap apart and clean it out good too.

From my experience, DW has long hair, our daughters had long hair before marriage, and I'm part Yeti, I've cleaned hair from drains for years. I've found most of the time if you unscrew the sink/tub stopper you'll find a cross with threads in the center under it. A set of long tweezers from HF for a couple bucks works well for this. Long reach needle nose pliers work well to. Happy hairball hunting!

Absolutely NO chemicals or snakes or you will create much worse problems than slow draining!!
From my experience with women with long hair, your best solution will be to take the trap apart periodically to remove the hair, it's not a pleasant job, but is the sure fix without damage. Or get one of the screens that fit over the drain & have your women remove their own lost hair each time rather than wash it down the drain.

I agree with this 100%. No chemicals or snakes.
My wife and two daughters have long hair. The easiest thing is to take the trap apart and remove the hair or sometimes I can get it from the top of the drain with needle nose pliers.
Good luck

I would hesitate to push hair down into the gray tank... suggest it will be harder to remove from there than the p-trap. My p-traps unscrew easily and are also easily removeable.

I agree with wiredgeorge. Long hair in any holding tank is a recipe for disaster. If you think it's difficult to get that wad of toilet paper off the tank level indicators, wait until you try to get a "wad of human fur" off of one. It's easier to just replace the sensor rather than try to clean them.
Removing the P trap, taking it outside, flushing it and then using an old washcloth and a little water with some Dawn dish soap will usually make things work like new.
TBH, when I first read the OP's post, I wondered if his gray tank might be full and the "slow drain" is water leaking out of the top of the gray tank, possibly filling the basement with water that he has not yet discovered... So, asking the obvious, but not wanting to overlook it, are all of your holding tanks empty? Do you know "for sure" how many holding tanks you have? We've had waaaaay to many "noobies" who complain that their galley sink won't drain, only to find out the holding tank is full and the valve handle is tucked away in a place they never thought to look..... So, are you sure your tanks are empty?

My wife purchased screens made to fit the bath and kitchen sink. Nothing unwanted goes down those. Sadly, the shower is flat as the screens go about an inch into the drain and a stainless ring keeps them in place.
