Another water question
I have been dealing with a water leak in my shower for quite some time. I have gotten lots of advice on here trying to fix it. Only get to work on it while I am camping. I keep camper stored at a facility without water hookup. I think I have narrowed it down to cold water line. It appears water is between walls of kitchen and bathroom.
water lines coming through wall for shower.
water lines going through kitchen wall.
water running underneath wall
water puddles up underneath bathroom cabinet.
Anybody have any idea where water would come from. Thinking line has a hole but why wouldn’t it leak all the time. Only see water when running shower. Have no way to look between walls. Water heater under kitchen cabinet so not a lot of room to get under there. Camper model is Cougar 367FLS. Any ideas to try?

Have you taken off the shower faucet? I have seen a few fail internally.

Yes I pulled faucet out from wall this morning. I just knew I was going to find water leaking back there but didn’t. I thought the faucet was leaking and running down water line. But dry as can be behind faucet.

With the faucet out, can you connect the supply lines and pressurize? Maybe operate the shower?

When I had faucet pulled out from wall, I cut water on. As water was running, I saw no evidence of water leaking anywhere behind faucet. There was still dust on water lines. Then found water underneath wall and bathroom cabinet.

Very strange. Fill the shower pan and then have a look underneath.

If it's not the shower drain, I'd focus on the two elbows that route the horizontal supply lines (H&C) up to the shower faucet. It may be that one of the lines was "roughly handled" during installing the faucet and an elbow got twisted or pulled away from the clamp ring.

Check the shower drain. If you have not found water supply lines leaking, which would leak any time water is connected, the only other source would be the drain.

I maybe way off, but I had a water leak issue in my trailer and tore it down trying to find it.
It turned out that the valve in the water station hook up is hard to read.
I had it set on “normal” which to me was well, normal operation when you hook up.
Everything worked fine, but kept getting this leak coming into kitchen. Basement was soaked.
Well that valve is hard to read, and “city” was the correct setting and I didn’t know. On “normal” is was pressurizing the water pump and going through it, so all water worked fine. But, the pump wasn’t made for the pressure so it leaked out
Might no be your issue, but it might be a place to look if your are stumped

Safe to assume you ran a hose into the shower drain and ruled that out?

Check the shower drain
Our Bullet came with the 1-1/2 shower drain set loosely over the 1-1/4 piping. Hard to see under shower through access cover.
Always showered in campground facilities because we needed shower for storage and weight distribution (different story) for 5 month trip. Discovered it when cleaning out trailer at end of trip... Dealer didn't seem surprised, fixed under warranty with other issues .

Did some pex/sharkbite work in my house after a lot of research. In the process learned that the hose clamps are supposed to be placed 1/8 to 1/4 inch from the end of the pex tubing at the connector. The clamp tool is also supposed to be calibrated before beginning a project and periodically through out.
Looking at the plumbing in my trailer, thought it was kind of cool that it was pex with the hose clamps (I can work with that). Unfortunately saw that several of the clamps were outside of the spec as far as distance from the end of the tubing, so they probably just grabbed the last barb on the connections...and do you think they calibrated the clamp tool on a regular basis or even before the project? Based on other things I've seen, probably not much of a chance.

You can put some water in your fresh tank, turn on your water pump, and then with all the water valves on your rv off listen for the pump and see if it cycles or not after a few minutes. If there is a supply leak you will hear it turn on and off indicating a possible leak. If it does not cycle, then I would suspect you have a drain leak. On our Alpine, the drain pipe connection had worked loose and we had a leak there.

After working on this off and on yesterday, can’t say I have narrow down the problem. I did finally see the cold water line finally drip at the tee going to washer hookup. Very very slow drip, but was a drip. As long as I don’t turn cold water on in shower, it doesn’t leak. That just don’t make sense to me. Don’t think that is the only leak. Too much water under cabinet for that slow of a leak. I notice where shower wall meets shower floor, there is a pretty good size crack there. Next weekend I am going to silicone that entire crack, put some water in my freshwater tank and spray around shower to see if I can find another leak. Worst case, if I had to take entire shower out to fix tee that is leaking, how difficult is that to do? Don’t know if I am smart enough to do that or not? [emoji23]

DO NOT fill the crack between the shower surround and the pan. The pan comes up far enough behind the surround to rule that out.
If it’s leaking at the bands holding the line onto a fitting, you might get lucky just re crimping. I have had success, and if the doesn’t stop the leak, replacing them isn’t a big dear.

That’s bad news, I filled half of it. Guess I will scrape it out. Dang it!

I suspect your shower fixture may have a small leak in it where the hot and cold water mix before coming out the hose/shower head. I would double check that since you mention that it only leaks when using the shower. Hope this helps.

How do you remove these little buttons? Just pry them off? Is a screw behind them? Part of my problem water is getting behind this button.

Harbor Freight makes a plastic interior trim removal kit for getting behind all sorts of stuff like that. But maybe it’s decorative?

That is a rivet. You can use a small pointed awl to pull the center out and then the rivet will come out. There is most likely double sided tape on the back of the shower surround. They come in a variety of colors and you can re[place the ones you mess up the pin one.
