Marker/brake light sealant

Just got the camper out of storage and running through it in preparation for skiing. Noticed that I have a lot of play in my rear light and that sealant isn't a tight seal to light.
What product do you guys recommend? Do you typically run a bead back over it and let it cure of are you cutting and scraping old material out and applpying new to the trailer and lens for the light??
