The carpet sort of has to stay in a slide out room. There is an ugly lip where the slide rides over the floor in the cabin and I can't think of a way to cover that lip with anything other than carpet. There probably are ways, just don't know of any. The plastic is there because the carpet is under where we eat. The chairs also move over it a bit better. Holes in the wall? Two on the outside of the slide where the top part of the booths screwed in and about four for each bench and these are easily filled with some bland hole filler. Doubt anyone would notice.

Did you also remove the jack-knife sofa? Looks like it from last picture. Could you also post picture & info about this. Thanks, Mac

Good observation Mac. Table and chairs would be great instead of the bench but not ready to do that yet to my 2018 22rbs. I guess you have to strap them down when travelling?

We had a trifold sofa. It was NOT comfortable. To remove, you just pull the back section off the base. Take it out the door. Put it on Craigslist and sell for $175. Then look at same Craigslist and find a LazyBoy reclining love seat and buy it for $150. Take it to your tailer, pull off the back and take it through the door and set it where the old trifold was. A huge upgrade and if there are any people (such as relatives) bugging you to go camping there is now no bed for them to sleep on and that sort of kills two birds with one stone. Trifold sofa was NOT bolted or attached in any way.

On our list for this spring. Going to do the same, except putting two lazyboys where the table was (can watch the TV better). Will be pulling down small tie down loops for the table & chairs. Hoping lazyboys will ride Ok. If not will be tieing them down after first trip.

Sounds like a plan Mac. Hope it goes as well as George's. I think he made money. Funny thing, we had the option of two chairs instead of the benches and table in the 22rbs. We went for the practicality of having the table, benches, and extra bed. I'm thinking in the future to hinge a table to the wall with one leg only, and find a couple of chairs that swivel.

If you hinge inside the slide, keep in mind there isn't much of a gap with the outside wall. Short toggle bolts might be the best option. There won't be anything solid in there to put a screw into. Your idea would work but in our case, the chairs would be facing away from the TV set. We like to watch the morning news while we eat breakfast.

It would have to be a solid install for travelling so I think I would glue and screw a 1x3 or 4 the width of the table on the wall first then attach the table to that. Chairs would be positioned like in your picture. Advantage is a longer table, one leg, and no need to tie it down when on the move.
