Jensen TV

Hi we are out on our first trip and we can’t get the Jensen TV DVD to play. We put the dvd in and we get sound but no picture. We have switched to all of the tv inputs with no success

Any suggestions?

Barry

If the DVD player is built in, put it in DVD mode before inserting the disc.

The audio video cables on mine were plugged in to the wrong spot on the tv. I had to change them around. The red and white are audio and the yellow is video. On the back of the tv it’s labeled L R V

I’m not sure if yours will be exactly the same.

Unfortunately we can’t get to the cables. It is a 40” above the door. We can get tv stations and we can get the sound from the dvd but no picture

If it is not what Chuck suggested, it sounds like the video cable is not plugged into the correct place on the tv.

Switch input to composite, if picture is grainy then the video is plugged into the wrong port, common.

I installed a DVD player in my Carbon 357 TH yesterday. Took me an hour to figure out that the yellow cable was plugged into the wrong port on the TV. It was only when I tried a different cable that I discovered that problem.
