Installing ems springdale 240 bhwe
Installing ems lchw30. Power cord goes right into the side of the trailer. No junction box under the bathroom sink. Opened panel in trailer. Should I just run the wires to the ems and back to the panel or pull the panel and look for a junction box? Or open the outside power cord port?
I want to mount the ems where I can see it since I didn't get the remote display..

Hi KSH,
I just installed one in my bullett premier. You have to remove the whole panel , 4 screws on each side, make sure there is no power going to it. I installed mine behind that control panel because i have the remote. I did put the remote in the cupboard on top of the panel, behind your panel the exterior cord is fed into that area. You need to cut a length off from the panel to feed ems, then just pull some exterior cord in to attach to ems inlet.
I had ample room behind control panel to work with.
You will have to most likely buy an extension cord unless you already have one.
PM me if you have more questions .

There will be a junction box where the shore cord goes into the trailer. It changes from stranded wire to Romex. You may have to remove a panel or drawer to access it.

Yeah, I thought it would but it didn't. Shore cord went right into the box. I pulled it out with the plastic connector, connected it to the ems and run new #8s to be box. Still in process, on a break. Way more work than it needed to be, if I had to do it over again the one with the remote display would be a no brainer.

Good job! I would have bet money on a junction box though.

Thanks. It was a bit strange, one piece of vertical scrap wood dividing the area the cord stores in and the box. They didn't even secure that divider at the top, just flaps around in there.

I was curious to know if that box generates any heat internally, does anybody know?

Mine doesn't. All it contains is a small printed circuit board with a red LCD display and a contact relay. There's not much to generate heat.
