Locking Dual Battery Box

Can anyone recommend a sturdy locking dual battery box that will fit in the standard battery rails on a Passport (same size as other brands, I assume). Plastic is fine for weight considerations. All it needs to do is discourage the thief a bit. They usually move on if it is more than a 30 second job. I have also seen metal brackets that embrace the single battery boxes. I just like the idea of a sleek dual box.

There are a couple of ideas here, my solution is pictured on post #13
A dual battery box from a Golf Cart battery supplier and a couple pieces of flat stock welded and drilled to take a fabricated round stock bar with welded cap on one end and lock on other. Came out pretty clean and was passed over in the last battery theft event where I store trailer in a "secured storage facility" I carry two 6 volt batteries in series.

Just wondering aloud, but what else was in the secured storage area that thieves would want to steal? I mean I take my battery with my every time, but it's really only because I want to throw it on the battery tender at home. My wife thinks it will get stolen, but I just feel that there are so many better options to steal, why steal my battery?

Our secure area has a TON of RV's in it, popups, TT, MH, and a whole bunch of brand new cars...challenger srt's etc. You would think that it would make much more sense to steal something else. I guess a unsecured battery is quick, but its not like you're going to get a ton for it, right?

I am considering upgrading the locks on the storage areas and main door though, just from reading about how the same keys are used over and over again. We really don't have anything of super value in there, but I know I'd be bummed if it was all of a sudden gone.

Battery core charge $15. No questions asked at some of the more unscrupulous battery outlets.

Some thieves show up with the cut ends of your cables still attached to the batteries (This was was told to me by a golf cart battery shop I have done business with to replace my stolen batteries).

One night where we store our trailer, 8 rigs 2 batteries each at $15 each $240.

Bad enough to lose the batteries but if you have an electric tongue jack guess what and cut cables to boot?

Cable and lock through the propane tanks to frame was another issue we addressed.

I bought some flat aluminum bar and 3 padlocks.
I bent the bar around each batt box, and then a lip out so they form "lips", drilled through both and put a padlock on each.
I also drilled through the t-handle which tightens over the propane bottles, and put a padlock through it.

I used an old tire snow chain to create a web over the battery boxes and secured with 4 padlocks. Of course you could just use bolt cutters to cut the whole thing off, but it might slow down the theft enough to get the thief to move on. I have seen a battery lock system on Amazon, (Batteryshackle(dual Group 24 Batteries)
by Batteryshackle) pricey $135 but would save the cost and the hassle, of replacing the batteries. Still a bolt cutter would cut that off too!

If left in a storage lot without power. The best anti theft device made is you. Remove them and propane bottles and that is free, nothing to buy.
