Sorry - Thank you!!
Hi, we're new to this and I always feel like shouting sorry, thank you every time we try to park!! We have a 2017 Laredo pulled by a 2017 F250. We go around confused and oh so grateful for the friendliness and helpfulness of the people that we meet!! They tell us we'll be old pros in six months, not sure about that but we are excited to try! Looking forward to having a place to ask questions!

Welcome. Very nice setup. We all started as rookies. Keep getting out there and soon everything is 2nd nature and the fun really begins.

Welcome! A very nice combo you have! Yup in a no time you will be disappointed when a park gives you a "pull-through" as you will enjoy the challenge of a "back-in!"

Welcome. This video helped me a lot. And practice in an open parking lot.

Learning to back a big 5er is certainly different from backing the TT I used to have.

Our first (and current) RV is a 39ft 5er. Understanding the mechanics of backing a small trailer is helpful, but a 39ft trailer is a different ball game. Critically important is communication with your spotter. If you have cell phone service, be crystal clear on driver side vs passenger side maneuvers. If no cell service, use “big” arm gestures to signal directions. Don’t point with a finger to signal directions, use big arm gestures to signal left, right and stop. Practice makes perfect, but communication is the key to getting there.

Welcome from SE Michigan. Always make sure your partner is in your sight and can yell loudly if necessary. I watch a lot of people doing the hand gesture thing and not saying a word, or are out of the view of the driver backing up. We have a system - I stay in his sight and yell if necessary. This is the way we stayed married. Backing in a TT can lead to a lot of fights. When you are done have a nice cold beverage. Have fun.
