Louisville Ky.

Heading to Big Bone Lick State Park in Ky. My question is, What is the best way to get through Louisville pulling a 5th wheel? Will be going East on I64 and wanting I71 north. Also if anyone has been to this park what route did you take from I71? Thanks for any help.

when you hit downtown Louisville I believe you will want the center right hand lane and that will lead you right to 71. How long is your trailer? I live about 20 miles from big bone but have never been to the campground.

let me know how it is! I have been told its too tight to get my 43' 5er in, but would like to hear from someone with a 5er if it is actually that tight.

I sure will but we are not going till Sept. My info on sites for this park came from a forum member with user name losing it. You might try a private message to him.

I live about 10 miles from Big Bone. Most direct route is getting off 71 at exit 72 KY 14 to US 42, then north on 42 and left on KY 338.

Only issue is 14 with some sharp turns. Will check the overhead clearance for you to see if any power lines look too low. I live off of 14.

Other option with wider roads is getting off I71 sooner at the Glencoe exit US 127, and taking that to US 42. Won't be any clearance issues.

Driven through the campground many years ago and seemed nice. Didn't have my 5th wheel then so didn't size it up for 40'.
