Just got a new 2019 Sprinter Campfire 29 FWBH in Dec 20. Looking forward to some great trips! Live in Temecula, California.

Sorry to hear about your ladder problems. IMHO with all the factors pointing to no one wanting to install your ladder I would heed that warning and buy a collapsible / telescopic ladder, try getting some money back from existing ladder or sell it. All I can keep thinking of is "Careful what you wish for" With my luck it would end up causing a leak.
