New from Oregon

Hello,

We are buying our first fifth wheel and are going to take delivery here in the next week or two. I still enjoy tent camping and my wife enjoyed using my parents old fifth wheel, so its time to get our own to share camping with our boys.

Any advice or words of wisdom would be welcome as this is our first trailer. I know I have a lot to learn.

The trailer is a '12 Cougar 282RESWE and will be pulled by my '01 Ford F350 crew cab (7.3L Turbo Diesel).

welcome, the document that saabdoctor mentioned is really good. I wish I had read about it before picking our FW up. The things we weren't shown were the galley valve, how to use the stereo and how to use the day/night shades. Yes there are two shades on that thing. They needed to slow down on the water hook ups and winterizing too.

I bought a new Cougar 318SAB in March and have lived in Oregon all my life. It's kinda nice to start experiencing the out doors in places I've heard about but either never went to, or was to young to remember. Welcome to our "family"
