New Bullet Owner from WA

Just joined the forum yesterday, wife and I just purchased a 2019 Bullet 308BHS and pick it up next Friday. Pretty excited to get it out camping this season. We are coming from a 2002 23ft rbs Thor Tahoe. Having the bunkhouse for our kids and overall more storage space and room inside will be fantastic!

Thank you all! I pick it up tomorrow and get to spend all weekend getting it packed up with our stuff from the other trailer and start deciding what needs to be modified before our first weekend trip in it. Pretty excited to have something new, I know not all are perfect as they come so I'm sure I will have my fair share of upgrading going on in the future.

Welcome to the forum and congrats on your new Bullet. We've owned our 308BHS for 3 seasons now, going into our fourth. They are nice 'value' units that get the job done. Our kids love the room in the bunkhouse. If you're interested in mods to keep you busy, I've racked up a few with mine. Take a look here: Mods to date.

The only thing that failed on use so far was a broken mono leaf spring this past fall. Actually had 2 that failed within 2 weeks. So, we upgraded the suspension to 5 leaf packs including upfitting the axles to 5200#. Those mono springs are a joke.

One piece of advice I (and many other members) will give you is to upgrade your OEM tires to a quality brand as well as go up a size or 2 in load range. Keystone tire fitments with 14" LR C & D barely gives you enough reserve to pull your trailer home from the dealers lot. It's cheap insurance to avoid a season ending (and expensive) blowout. Get a set of TPMS sensors on your trailer too. We picked up a screw last in one of our tires on the highway last year. TPMS alerted me when the pressure dropped below 60 PSI. Pulled over, changed out for the spare, and we were on our way in 15 minutes. A rubber carcass of a tire spinning at that RPM will tear up these lightweights in mere seconds.

Again, welcome from Michigan and happy trails.

Let the good times roll - at least to the nearest peaceful state park. Enjoy your rig
