Air Con Vent Cover

Is it recommend to put a vent cover over the Air
Conditioner in the winter since I'm living in my trailer
about 4 and 1/2 Months this winter ? Just curious if it
Would prevent rain , or snow from leaking in ?
I am not having that problem. I am just looking for extra protection.
What's your thoughts on this ? And , are the covers universal is size ?

Air Con Vent Cover

To my knowledge they dont make a “vent cover” for AC units. If they made one, it wouldn’t stop a water leak. As long as the foam gasket is good and the 4 corner mounting screws are tight you won’t have water leaking in from the roof.

The only covers I have seen for AC units is a vinyl cover for the shroud.

Thank you for the reply. I am just trying to be extra careful.
Nothing leaks what so ever. I just was curious about added
Coverage up there.
I should be OK then.

I had MaxxAir covers on both my passive vents; one up near the kitchen and one in the bedroom. They are "supposed" to keep water out. Left the bedroom vent open and we had a good rain and the bed was soaked. I broke the MaxxAir cover up front in a tree limb contact and didn't bother replace it. Camping World bills them as "superior rain protection" but gotta say, mine didn't help much at all and it wasn't even a gully washer.
