Michigan upper peninsula suggestions

Well, for the second year in a row our trip to Hunting Island SC has been derailed by a hurricane. The Park is hoping to reopen by next week but nothing is firm. We may have to come up with an alternate plan and the upper peninsula in Michigan has come up as a new possible destination. We have a dog, prefer State or National Parks, need water and electric. Any suggestions for a new adventure are appreciated. Thanks
