Water pump 2006 Keystone Cougar

Time to replace the water pump. Any advice in the process before I take this on for the first time? Thanks for the feedback.

FloJet and ShurFlo pumps are not interchangeable. FloJet uses a "clip in" connection for the water fittings and ShurFlo uses threaded fittings. So, if you're going to change the brand of pump, you'll also need to modify your plumbing "end fittings" that connect the pump. While not an impossible task, if you're looking for a "quick easy fix" for a bad pump, consider that changing brands is more extensive than just "plug and play".

Additionally, if you have a winterization system attached to the pump, that will also require modification if you change brands.
