Not sure where you came up with 300 lbs?
One GVWR is 10026 the other 10290, guess that's your 300.
One is 7000 empty the other is 8046, loaded one is 8200 the other will be 9246, that's actual 1046 lbs difference with 12- 15% of that going on the hitch. You should be ok if your 2500 has enough payload for another 120-150 pounds.
Are the weights you posted actual from scales or brochures? To know exactly what your truck weighs load up as if heading out camping & take to the scales.
