New from South Jersey

Good evening

I have been an active contributor on motorcycle forums and truck modification forums for many years but was just a lurker on RV forums. Lately, however, the wife and I have been thinking we would like to know more people who camp and all of our attempts to rope our existing friends into joining the RV lifestyle have come to naught. So, here we are signing up for a forum to maybe make some friends and perhaps attend meet-ups, (what they were called in the off-road truck forums) or gatherings, (as they are called in the motorcycle forums), or what ever those type of events are know by here.

We are not new to the RV world. In order of appearance we have had:

2001 Starcraft 2105 pop-up pulled by a 1991 Ford F-150 ext. cab 8ft bed
2006 Jayco Jayfeather 197 pulled by a 2007 Toyota Tacoma TRD off-road
2015 Keystone Bullet 272BHS pulled by a 2014 Ford F-150 SC FX4 5.0L

The trucks have remained relatively stock. The trailers.... not so much.

We look forward to getting to know you and learning from you as well as sharing our knowledge

Hello,
I am from South Jersey as well and am new to the rv scene. So new in fact that we have yet to buy our first TT. We are currently looking at a 2019 Keystone Bullet 248rks. Being from south jersey and being experienced in the rv world, I assume you have some experience with the dealerships around the area. We are looking at Hitch RV in Berlin.

I bought our starcraft pop-up from hitch (back when it was called hitcharama)
Our Jayco came from Whitehorse RV
and out Bullet came from Hitch RV (though we technically bought it from the salesman from their Delaware location while at the Hershey show, we took delivery in Turnerville)

There are a pair of dealers in Ohio that if you check RV trader have the best prices usually go in armed with that information and get them down close to that price and you'll be good. In our case Dave from Hitchrv came close enough to not make it worth the drive to Ohio.

Though I will say that neither dealer seems to know a thing about setting up a Reese Dual cam WD hitch. After pick up from both Whitehorse and Hitch I had to set them up correctly.
