Vancouver has the most expensive gas in NA.

.

Today regular gas in Vancouver BC is $161.9 CAD per litre. That works out to $611.98 CAD per US gallon or $476.66 USD per US gallon.

That is the highest cost ever recorded in North America.

.

Decimal points checked, yup !

Many causes, refinery shutdowns in WA state, lack of pipeline from Alberta and BC government's high carbon tax and public transportation tax on top of that.

Got to love the left coast.

Hodgy -
Gas in Vancouver BC is $1.619 per litre NOT $161.9. I think you have the decimal (cent) point in the wrong place. Regardless, the price is both outrageous and crazy and is, as you correctly stated, the highest in North America. The bad news is that the price is going to go up even further in the coming month or two.

Diesel is about 10 cents a litre cheaper.

I sure hope fuel goes down for you guys soon. I hope it doesn't go up much here also. The price of fuel is ridiculous enough!

Sorry your math is bad, there are 3.875 liters per US gallon $1.61 x 3.875 = $6.24

Yeah, pretty much the same here in Oz. Our gas is $4.54 (US) per (US) gal.

Nope.

3.78541178 x $1.61 = $6.09 CAD per US gallon.

Thats two cents less than my original post, I was wrong.

Maybe John can come back in and post why he thinks fuel prices in the U.S. should be "much higher"? Hope we're not moving into a "green" (we should use horses not fossil fuels) vs common sense. I'm sure there's another explanation since anyone towing RVs isn't really worried about the use of fossil fuels....right?

Cut across the bottom corner of California at Needles back in early Feb & gas was $4.39 per gallon, diesel was $4.67, crossed back into Nevada & it dropped $2+ per gallon, to me that's price gouging.
The entire west coast is very expensive for everything!!

I certainly hope the US is not going down that road. "They" will have us living in caves and eating rodents for protein.

Sorry, straying into the political realm.
