pulled in Friday night with a foot of snow on the ground. Plugged the power in and dug out the fire pit. Was cozy till we pulled out about 4 on Sunday

Nothing like camping in Carhartts

40 at night and 60 during the day sounds like heaven.

Gary,

I'm glad you started this tread. I too have the disease! I can see the Cougar sleeping for the winter every time I let the dogs out. I really wish there were facilities around here that were open at all so I could get a winter weekend away.

I'm also glad to hear the RV shows helped everyone get past this at least for a little while. I have no time to go to the shows this year. Work is sucking up too much time.

Everyone, keep the stories coming. It helps us all to "talk" about it.

Patiently waiting for spring.. well kinda.

Mike

I'm new to the camping world... Just purchase first TT, Waiting for it to come off the line. I was telling my self I'm obsessing over reading reviews, studying manuals, price shopping for all the things I think I need. Reading hours of reviews on camp grounds all because I'm new..... but... after reading THIS post.. guess it's never going to go away!!! Big smiles

Traveled a couple hundred miles down I-80 today to Salt Lake City and saw an amazing amount of trailers. They're starting to come back out - there's hope for all of us.

If the weather holds here in the Pacific Northwest, I am going to dewinterize the Alpine and grab the dw and head to the coast.

We have camping on the brain too! We have been booking trips since Jan. 1st. The last reservation was made last night! Our first reservation isn't until May, but with the warm winter we have been having, we may be heading out in February. We are in total camp mindset right now. Hurry up spring!

Rub it in Kristi, 2 feet plus of snow yesterday. It has helped a little as the trailer does not look quite as ready to go now that it is buried.

Come to Az we camp year around in any climate you like. You are not alone trust me.

I see no issue with your feelings at all. if I am not thinking about camping I'm thinking of things to do to the toy hauler to make it even more fun.

Just bring plenty of sunblock no matter the season. Along with T shirts & shorts. So glad I moved here 31 yrs ago. Everyone says "its too hot" well when it's 118* here I can hook up and in 2.5 hrs be setting up camp in 70* weather. Hope I haven't insulted you guys on the east coast.

This is one of my 3 campground visits in 16 yrs. Dry sites $18.00 per night. All pull throughs @ mine was 172' long

Last night I went to bed after the weather forecast with the expectation of "a light dusting of snow and morning temperatures in the mid 20's. I woke up to 7" of blowing, drifting snow, drifts about 3' high in places and temps in single digits. Oh where is summer????????

It was -1 this morning, after 24+ inches this week, we have more coming tomorrow and maybe Monday. We are in the pattern. Just need to keep planning. Trying to get my wife to agree to 3 weekends in May rather than the 2 we did last year. Hoping to be camping May 1.

Went to San Antonio on a non RV trip just for a mid winter change of pace starting this last weeken. Weather was to be mid 70's. Set up 4 nights, 5 days. Got there Monday afternoon, checked in, sat out and enjoyed the beautiful weather.

We had left our beloved little dog at the kennel for the first time in 3 years. When we left, for the first time, she acted like she didn't want to be there. We left her anyway. The first evening I dwelled on that until I told my wife we were coming back the next day to get her because I couldn't deal with it; I would just get things ready and we would take off somewhere in the trailer. Yesterday I went out and replaced all the lamps with LED's (almost 40 . Came in to set up a trip and looked at the weather....from 76 yesterday to 55 today and 40 tomorrow w/rain for the next several days Drug my feet too long and now we're back in the messy weather. Guess I'll have to wait another week or two.

I feel for you guys up in the NE. It won't be long though. Keep on dreamin and planning.....spring will be here before you know it!

Here in Delaware we just missed the last snowfall, but that hasn't helped the windchills. Got my wife convinced to save up the vacation time and take four weeks at one time next winter and hide in the keys for the worst part of the winter. Come on 80* and blue water.

We are on our 3rd storm in 2 weeks with another one coming in 2 days. We went from nothing to over 3 feet on the ground with another foot or more by Tuesday. The funny thing is, the more snow we are getting, the less the feeling to need to camp. Must be because I can only see half the camper right now or just knowing I can't get it out of the driveway. Anyway, how many days until spring?
