New tires on my Dodge

I just put new kendra front tires on my Ram 2500. When I got home I checked them and they were at 70 psi. The tag on the door says 50 psi front and 80 psi rear. My question, would you lower them to the 50 psi. I pull a 9990 empty 5th wheel. Thanks for any thoughts. Oh I called the tire place and they said no need to lower them unless the ride is too rough.

What year is the Ram? I ask out of curiousity because my 14 calls for 65 front and 80 rear as have all the ones I've seen I think.

I run 65 front all the time and 65 in the rear unloaded. When pulling my 10k gvw trailer I air up to 80 psi in the rear - 80 empty is too rough. My neighbor next to me runs his the same as I do.

Its an old 1999.I got to thinking about it and the rims are all the same so I guess it would be as the tire place said, won't hurt to go to fifty or stay at 70. I think I will go to 65 front and 80 rear. By the way we are heading to Destin right away. Sure don't seem like a year ago you were helping me out with tires for my ultra light. This is our 2nd year with the Maaxis.

Destin?? Looks like you may be hitting a good weather stretch...I hope. I has been raining cats and dogs here the last 2 days but we're about 4 hours from Destin. It's started clearing up today and looking at the forecast looks like sunshine but a little cooler at night (mid/upper 40s).

Still spring break time so be prepared for some crowds. The traffic here has gone bonkers and weekends....well, we just try to stay out of the way. My grand daughter spent about 3 days at St. George island and she had a wonderful time. You guys do the same.

Not leaving Missouri until April 3rd. My wife still talks about the shells at St. George Island.

Tire Pressure for Truck

My 2015 Ram has the 65 front/80 Rear, and that's about what I keep they at. I have noticed some difference when lowering the rear to 70 when not towing, but towing season with the Fiver I go to 80 full time.
