Houston to Jacksonville FL on I-10

Just got my 25' Keystone Passport and plan this trip in Feb. Heard there is a lot of construction around Beaumont, long narrow bridge accross swamp in LA and tunnel in Mobile. Any comments will be appreciated.

I dont know about the construction at this time in Beaumont TX. The bridge on I-10 in LA is about 20 miles long. It has two lanes in each direction with a pull off lane on each side. The tunnel in Mobile is under Mobile Bay and is only about 1/2 mile long. 13'6" high is not a problem. It is 4 lanes with no restriction for propane tanks on trailer.

Depending on when you go through Beaumont could be OK. If you don't want to chance it, at Winnie head toward Port Arthur and you can hit I-10 again in Orange. The only other bottle neck you might hit is Baton Rouge. The town has outgrown the interstate system since Katrina and could be congested through there.
