For those of you using or considering Good Sam, be careful with your payments. I had them for years but changed to PEMCO where I have my homeowner's and auto insurance.
I was using the bill pay system through my credit union. I set up to have a paper check sent to Good Sam since they weren't on the e-payments list at the credit union then. I picked the day before the bill was due for the check to show up and paid the bill. Apparently my credit union didn't allow enough time for the check to go through the mail and it showed up two days late.
Without even contacting me, Good Sam cancelled my policy. I found out I no longer had insurance when I got an e-mail from them the day after the payment was due. They gave no leeway at all. Only after I got in touch with them, did the reinstate my account.
