You won't regret the pick. I have a 2016 Ram 3500 with the HO Cummins and Aisin transmission pulling a Solitude 310GK. No problems with mountains. One aftermarket item I did add was airbags to level out the truck with the trailer hooked up.

I bought my 2016 Ram 3500 with the Aisin transmission was a used truck. The dealer or any dealers in my area did not have any new 2016/2017 trucks with that transmission in stock. But, the truck had steps, factory fifth wheel prep, backup and cargo camera and the power train combo I wanted. I have no regrets...

Congrats on your new truck.

I wouldn't give up my 2015 dually even for a new(er) one!

Awesome setup and I can understand that you wouldn't want to give her up. I look at the 2019's but I wouldn't be able to keep all of my stuff from my 2017.

This prompted me to share this. A buddy purchased a new Ram a year ago and had been driving it for a couple of months. He'd been complaining of the truck being very bad when crossing a railroad track here. The dealer hadn't been able to figure it out. They finally discovered the shipping blocks still in place on the rear springs. With these removed voila a new ride!!

Thank you guys for all of your comments, well I brought it home and have started doing my transfer over my stuff from my 2017 to my new 2018. I love having more payload now than my 2017 2500 CTD and I can't wait to hook up my new 5th wheel to it.

Did the wheels and tires come off your 2500? The wheels look a lot better than the OEM ones.

Could you not find a RED one? WOW! That's bright!
Pulled up next to a new Ram yesterday that was florescent green, ugliest thing I've ever seen! I suspect it glowed in the dark!! The guy driving was grinning from ear to ear while we were shielding our eyes, it was so bright.

Yes I took the wheel and rims off of my 2017 because for one I didn't want those Firestone stock wheel, so I let the dealer know that I just bought those wheels and rims and I wasn't going to let those go. The tires are Cooper A/T's XTL they ride good for A/T tires.
