Just ordered 2019 Cougar 26RBS

Just ordered a 2019 Cougar 26RBS - should get it about mid June. Will be towing with 2016 F150 3.5 Ecoboost - with tow package. Interesting that the incommand system comes on the 2019s.

I am looking forward to hearing your review of the 26RBS. That is the TT that has caught my eye for when we upgrade.

Since you have time, you may want to check the ratings to be sure your F150 can handle it from a payload, hitch capacity and wheel base perspective. Many F150s cannot unless they have the hard to find HD payload package which has the longer wheel base and is different than the tow package. Even then, the hitch becomes the limiting factor on a properly equipped F150. A search for payload will turn up the posts of interest.

Thanks for the heads up Slow.

Limit on my F150 with the 3.5 Ecoboost, 3.55 axle, is 10,700.

Empty trailer weight is 6525. Will definitely be using a Equalizer or Eastway hitch to stabilize.

Congrats on your 2019 26RBS. We are in our 2nd week camping with our 2018 version of the same model. We love it. So far no real problems except the missing dump handle from the forward gray tank, which was easily replaced.
Of course our dealer may have fixed a bunch of things before my pre-purchase inspection.
We really like the size and amenities (just the 2 of us plus the dog).
Trailer tows beautifully with our F250 diesel and an equalizing hitch (Reese).
Enjoy your new trailer!

I have the same unit on order right now also have the same truck, 2016 F150 with Tow (not Max tow). Curious if you upgraded the truck for airbags or if just by using an equalizer you're flat and smooth?

I ran the numbers using a few calculators and found that per spec my Truck GVW was over by 8lbs for my load but the GCWR was 1171lbs to the good. I used 10% of the 8800 on the tongue, not the published spec of 850.

In any event, as a soon to be owner, curious to know what you like about it, if the truck has given you any issues or basically anything else you'd like to share about it.

Thanks in advance!
