Water Pump Location 2013 Outback 298RE

My fresh water pump is not working. I have opened up all of the access doors, but am unable to find it so that I can replace it. I can't find any info on the papers given to me when I bought it or online anywhere. Once I have the location, I am sure that I can replace it pretty quickly.

Thanks in advance.

Usually, close to or behind where your city water/tank fill location, but I don't know for sure on your particular unit.

I'm guessing it's not working is why you're replacing it. Otherwise you could run it and listen for it.

in the 2013 Outback that we had the pump was beside the bed under a carpeted "step" cover below the closet. Screws were kind of buried in the carpet. Don't know if this applies to your model.

Hi Jerry,
That is where it is on mine, also. Thank you so much for your quick, accurate, response. I certainly appreciate it.

Water Pump Location 2013 Outback 298RE

Hi Old Mustanger,

Yes, it is exactly where you said it would be. Thanks.

Took a while, but I finally figured out that I needed to pry a couple of "button covers" over the screws on the "step" before unscrewing them to reveal the pump. They were quite hard to find in the, relatively thick, carpet.

Thanks again.
