Roof question

We picked up our Premier 22 RBPR last spring. Do I need to clean and protect the roof? It is not dirty. What are you using? I have seen 303 and have used on my kayaks to protect from UV. Thanks for the help

As you can imagine, opinions will vary on this subject. We live in a dusty ag area so we clean our roof almost every time we wash the 5er. We use a mixture of Dawn dish soap and Borax. Scrub with a soft or medium bristle brush, rinse thoroughly and allow to dry. We then use a sponge mop to apply a coat of 303.
Added on edit: We apply the 303 twice a year.

Depends on the area you live. Around here I generally park under trees so pollen and such builds up so I wash my roof frequently) 3 to 4 times year. In my opinion, this helps keep sides clean and black streaks to minimum. Because I keep it clean, I just use dish soap and a soft brush and occasional touch of bleach to keep mildew in check.
If you only wash it once per year or so, some of the rv roof cleaners may give you better results.
Remember what is most important is keeping regular inspection intervals and check all caulk seams very closely for hairline cracks and/or pinholes and reapply dicor caulk as needed. Very important.
