Subwoofer under stairs

Hi. I have a 2014 Raptor 300mp. It came with a pretty crappy samsung sound bar with a subwoofer for the tv. I believe the subwoofer is under the stairs.

I am looking at replacing soundbar / subwoofer. Anyone have any experience removing / replacing the soundbar /subwoofer installed by keystone? Specifically getting to subwoofer under the stairs?

Thank you

I have a 2013 300MP, you can gain access either by removing the fresh air return vent in the staircase or removing the panel in the pass thru. I know you can gain access thru the vent to access writing and mounting, not sure the sub would fit through it though. Removal of the panel in pass thru probably best bet.

raineman, Howdy;

Feel around on the tread of the step, an inch or slightly more from the edge.
You should feel the screw heads, just unscrew them and lift the tread up and
you should be able to access it that way. You may have to remove the riser in
front (above it), first. Oh yea, the screw heads have a square hole in them and
require a #2 Robertson not the typical Phillips.

Whats the game plan for replacement? Very curious what you plan on doing!

I found that the sound bar is not that great for listening to music in the living area off of the sound bar and then to have the speakers on in the garage or outside, it creates an echo where the sound is delayed from the sound bar to the other speakers.

I put a subwoofer under my fridge. Sounds awesome,works off 12v, and even transfers bass outside so the little 6 1/2" speakers outside sound better.

Wink Relocated Mine too . . .

I found mine ('16 F420) behind the plastic wall in the forward storage space strapped to the floor. Next to the water bay hookups. I relocated it to behind the 4 foldout sofa chairs in my slide out, next to the outside wall for reverb. There was lot's of room behind them and a plug as well. Sounds much better as it is BT and is much closer now.

Wondering also? I have the same setup and it's ok, better than my last rig, but even with the sliding door to the garage closed you still get some echo. Since I spend most of my time outside though I'll probably upgrade the outside speakers first.
