Adding flat 4-wire connector

I need to add a flat 4-wire connector to the rear of my TH so as to tow a trailer behind it. This trailer has bulb-type lights, where the TH has rear LED lights. Will there be a problem simply tapping into the stock rear light wiring?

Thanks,

Steve

If I understand your question correctly, should be all 12V, no? Shouldn't be a problem in that regard.

Canesfan,

Yes, wiring is 12-volt. I've never tapped into LEDs before (first RV I've ever had with them), so wasn't sure if doing so would adversely affect the LEDs.

Thanks!

Steve

I haven't examined the wiring on mine, but it has LEDs in the rear but standard bulbs everywhere else. The only thing I'm aware of with LEDS is sometimes you have to put a resistor inline to make the turn signals not blink too fast, but other than that 12V is 12V (for this purpose), you're tapping into the wiring feeding the LEDs. To be sure put a meter on it but you should be good. People swap out bulbs for LEDs all the time without changing the wiring.
