Fuzion 412 top Bunk Repairs

I am going to be reinforcing the top bunk due poor design. I am looing for advice on the removal of the two side rails. There seems to be vinyl covered fasteners holding the siderails on. How do they come off to maintain the integrity of the material. I plan on removing the fabric and adding a thin sheet of plywood to the frame. I am well verse in structural construction, I just do not want to damage the finish.

They just pop off. A plastic puddy blade or a flat head screw driver. I removed mine to add a bunk rail. It's just a snap button. The screw is under it.
