What am I going to pull my new 390 with??
So after 4 long years of looking , I got apvoved for my 390!!! I just hope I am not Biting off more than I can chew. Now my problem is , what can I pull it with?
I was thinking a 450 but would still like to use it as a daily driver .
I wonder if a 2008-2010 f-350 would pull it .
What are you using ?

We have a 2013 Fuzion 375 (GW of 18K tongue weight of ~3250#) and pull it with a 2012 F350 Dually (GCVW of ~33K).
Good luck on whatever you choose as your TV (Ford Chevy, Dodge, etc).

I tow my 2013 395LEV with a 2011 F250 with no problems. I put Firestone air bags on it also. I was passing a 18 wheeler with a house on it. Going up hill, next thang I knew I was going 85, with out full power. Just watch your braking distance...
Here is a pic.

Thanks for the input . I think I'm going to get the f-350 an the 390 . Sign the paper work next week . I lucked out , the the fully loaded 390 was on the lot .
I thought about the 342 but they said they won't see one for months.

The Fuzion 390 is a nice looking unit, consider upgrading the oem tires soon. (Maxxis 8008 E rated would be great for your rig)
Also consider an extended powertrain warrenty on the 2008 Diesel Ford.

Nice truck and trailer, but I also recommend getting the best extended warranty you can on the 6.4 .

F-350 won't work!
After talking to my rv teck, he told me that the 2008 F-350 is not enough to pull it. He said as long as I don't put anything in it I would be ok.
Do I'm now looking at 2008-2011 3500.
New search!!

I'd be interested in the reason an F350 is not enough but a 3500 is....

^^^^ this. Sounds like he was talking to a "bowtie" man!!! Any of the DRW trucks in any make will handle this just fine. Buy what you like and get to camping!!

The new scorpion diesel is a horse from what I have seen. Its much stronger than the previous ford diesel engines. I don't see why a newer ford f350 wouldn't work. Any of the three in a 3500.or up with diesel should work. I would like the built in exhaust break option on the truck I chose .
I have the raptor 300mp and tow with a duramax 3500 and a Cummins 2500.

Power!!
Sorry , I should say more. He was saying that the ford is only rated for 15,200lbs and the 08 dodge is 18,000lbs an once I put my can am commander in it(1300lb)it would be over the limit . If I get pulled over and they weight me I would not pass.
This is what he says , an keep in mind I'm in Alberta , Canada.

They are more likely to only (if ever) weigh your axles to make sure you are not overweight on any. With a DRW you should be okay for rear axle .
DOT does not keep track of manufacturers weight allowances for all the different models. They will look closer if you "look" overweight (ie back end sagging).
With that kind of weight in the west, I would be looking for a engine break model of your choice.

Sounds like BS to me as well on the F350. I have an 06 with the 6.0 and I tow a 384pk which is 42' and a GVW of 18k. Granted I haven't loaded it to the full GVW yet but it has been it excess of 16k. No issues with the truck and well within the specified tow capacity of the truck. A quick search on google reveled a ford fleet document for 2006 with 24900 as the max for a fifth wheel. Of course it depends on the truck and what options were added to it.
