Elite 27RB owners?
Greetings,
We are brand new camping wanna-be's. Our first-time trailer search has led us to the Elite 27RE. I like the kitchens and storage, wife likes the entertainment center and bedroom. We both (think!) we prefer table/chairs to the dinette.
We have a 2010 Silverado 1/2-ton with a tow package; we want to keep the dry weight under 6,000 .lbs.
We plan to spring and fall camp in New England until we retire in 5-10 years.
Does anybody have any ideas for us as we proceed? Any other models we should consider?
Thank you,
Richard

We have a 2770 RB same trailer but in the grand touring edition i tow it with a 2016 RAM 1500 Hemi 8 speed 3.92 rear end trailer tows like a dream no issues. We only take 1-2 trips a year (we're seasonal) mostly to NASCAR races which we have to go through the mountains tows like it's not even back there. I'm ticked that our dealer got a Elite edition in 2 weeks after we bought ours because i love the frame less windows and the free standing dinette versus our u shaped one.

Re: Elite 27RB owners?
I have a 27Rb as well and I tow it with a 2005 silverado quad cab 1/2 ton 4x4 5.2L. I have had no issues trailering up steep High Sierra mountains at a comfortable speed. My turning radius could be better but I have adapted well. The Trailer is a great compromise as my wife wanted the two slide outs and extra counter space. The pantry and closet space are outstanding. I liked the light weight of the trailer and it is well built and durable in the year we have owned it. The outside kitchen is great. I installed a 1500 inverter to run the outside fridge when boondocking and I use a Zamp 160W portable solar charger to keep the batteries charged. Only con with my trailer is it comes with two Grey water tanks and the kitchen tank is on the small side. Hope this helps...

I also have a 27RB, 2016 and tow with new 2017 Ram 1500, 5.7 hemi and 3.92 rear standard bed. Tows fine, get about 8-10 MPH fully loaded.

We purchased a 2017 27RB Elite this spring and while we've only used it a couple of times I don't have any complaints with it. We tow with a 2004 6.0 Escalade and also get 8 - 10 mpg.

We have a 2017 Passport Elite with the table & chairs, outdoor kitchen and 2 slides. We love ours and have traveled up to Maine pulling it with a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Diesel, no problems! Had it a year and so far so good!
