Are you sure it’s broken? Could be a bad connection, or a “whisker” grounding out the signal. How did you test the coax?

x2 ^^^ Suggest a simple continuity check with a Volt Ohm Meter (multimeter). Disconnect both ends of coax, and check center conductor to outer shield. You should have NO continuity.

Good luck and please check back with result.

X3^^^ And to add to this test after completed, you could ground the shield and center conductor on one end then check for continuity between the ground and center conductor on the other end.....this would show whether your cable is in tact.

I have another 25 ft coax cable used it from good connector in bedroom and ran it to the tv in question and got a picture and audio. Also ran a ohms reading on cable...it had about 7 ohms of resistance but not broken

Coax Cable bad

Have you tested continuity from signal wire to connector? Should be infinite, meaning no continuity. Both ends disconnected.

Yup it's good now I'm thinking coax is ok but the previous owner had a satellite dish and it's wired for that. To be continued

Sat coax is RG6, cable/ant is RG59. RG6 will work for both but RG59 won’t work very well for sat.
