Five days old and on first camping trip.
Well, there's nothing like starting them out early. Born on Sunday and camping on Friday.

How fun! Boy or Girl? From the looks of the picture, this is not your first.
I just met my new grand-daughter (#10 grand-child). She was born yesterday - Everly Rae Huff. She hasn't been camping yet Still in the hospital (C-section). I am babysitting with brother and sister (4yrs and 18 mos) until mom, dad and baby come home on Sunday.
Babies are so precious.
Hope your camping trip is a good one.

The kid's got it easy. How's the wife managing? I see she's already up and around. She's really got some stamina!
I'm also envious of your campsite. Our first forest campout is in two weeks.

The wife is doing great! She too had a c-section. This is our second son, not counting our Scottish Terrier. I told her that this trip was entirely up to her. She said that it was fewer steps to get around the camper than it was around the house. You've got to admire that kind of thinking.

That is awesome.we did the same with our first son, but in a pop up and it got down to 28F at night. Lets just say it has been 15 years and my wife still wont camp until May 15th. Congrats on the newborn. Both of my kids have been rving since birth and they live it. Memories to last a lifetime.

This reminds me. We once camped with a 3 month old baby at Yellowstone on the ground with just a tarp. Actually, the baby slept in the car. Good thing. During the night, a bear came through the campground and "did his business" on a rock right outside our "tarp tent". Our St. Bernard was sleeping just a foot or so away and didn't even wake up. The bear crawled all over our car and tried to get into the cartop carrier (where we had stowed our food). The bear prints in the dust on our car lasted all the way home to Oregon!

Early camping trip..Great.. My grandson got to go at 3 months and then again at 6 months. NOW he is a seasoned camper. We have enjoyed our trips with him.. Enjoy your trip and those babies, they grow up quick..

And a four year old I've been staying with the 4 yr and 18 mo olds and I'm worn out. Don't know how I managed to raise four boys! I guess being young has its advantages.

That's awesome, we had a winter baby this time around but the first one was out with us at about 6 weeks for the first trip of the year. She's 4 now and camping is still her favorite thing to do.

I have fond childhood memories of camping (tent) when I was 4. We lived in Van Nuys, but went camping to Big Basin, up the river from Felton, CA where we later moved. I loved the redwoods and feeding the deer small packets of grain supplied by the park ranger. I slept on a plastic, inflatable swim raft. Had it until I was 12 when it finally got a hole in it that dad couldn't repair.
Later, Dad and my girl friend's dad bought a houseboat. As teenagers, we had the time of our lives "camping" and water skiing on Lake Berryessa, near Napa.
Camping makes such good memories. Those are times I will cherish forever
